Dyirri-Bang-Gu Aboriginal Corporation is a community-controlled aged care provider based in Griffith, NSW. The service supports older people — particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders — to live independently at home with personalised, culturally safe care and support.
We provide a wide range of in-home and community-based aged care services, including:
- Personal care (assistance with self-care and activities for daily living - assistance to shower, dress, etc)
- Domestic assistance (general house cleaning)
- Transport for shopping, medical appointments, and community access
- Social support and engagement activities
- Home maintenance and modification,s repairs (e.g., grab rails, mobility aids)
- Home modifications - OT approval required
- Care coordination and care management tailored to individual needs
- Access to allied health and clinical referrals, eg, podiatry, dietitian, and Occupational Therapist
Our services cover Griffith and the surrounding communities in regional NSW, including:
- Darlington Point
- Narrandera
- Leeton
- Coleambally
You can access our services by registering with My Aged Care and completing an assessment through the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). This will determine your eligibility for the Support at Home (SaH) Program, previously known as the Home Care Package (HCP) or Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
Once you have received notification from My Aged Care that you have been ALLOCATED a Support at Home (SaH) package, please contact us if you would like Dyirri-Bang-Gu Aged Care Services to be your provider.

- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and aged 50+
- Non-Indigenous and aged 65+

- A family member or carer seeking trusted support for an older loved one

We deliver Home Care services directly to clients in their homes across Griffith and surrounding communities.
Yes, through coordination. While we do not directly provide clinical or nursing care, we partner with local health services, including the Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service, to assist you in connecting with nursing, allied health, and chronic disease management as needed.
Yes. While our focus is on culturally safe care for First Nations Elders, we are an inclusive organisation and can also provide aged care services to all eligible older Australians in our region who have requested and engaged our services
Yes. Dyirri-Bang-Gu Aged Care Services operates in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards and is subject to review by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. While public star ratings may not yet be published, regular audits and quality assessments are part of our compliance framework.
